My friend Elspeth happy with her new vintage bike. I reconstituted an old (french?) Le’Esprit twelve speed frame with better quality aluminium 80’s parts and modern index shifters with a 7- speed wide range gear cluster at the rear.
The sprung seat and nice wide chrome bars with a gentle backsweep were recycled from Elspeth’s heavy old Avanti town n country – a horrid heavy pink thing with a one- piece crank and rusty steel wheels
